DEIB
Coaching

I work with leaders in organisations to create environments and cultures that encourage and prioritise diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Company culture starts at the top, and by developing awareness of a leader’s own behaviours, thought processes and values, we can explore their role in co-creating an environment in which people feel safe, valued and supported for unique and authentic selves..

If you lead a team or organisation that struggles with building trust, difficult team dynamics, burnout, low performance or any other issues related to team culture, I can support you in exploring how you can lead the team to address these challenges, to create cohesion and alignment in the team.

By building our own self-reflection, we can identify areas for our own development that creates a positive impact on our team. This work is not to finger-point or shame leaders, but to understand how an individual can impact the collective through role modelling the types of behaviour and decisions we hope to see.

To get started, download my free “Intro to self-reflection” worksheet, as the first step in getting to know yourself better and understanding your influence on those around you.

Coaching as a DEIB intervention
As the field of DEIB becomes more advanced and complex, we must continue to find ways to better support organisations in their journey. Coaching offers us the opportunity to personalise DEIB interventions by working with leaders to address the challenges and opportunities unique to each individual and organisation. DEIB Coaching creates a safe opportunity for leaders to build their own self-awareness for a better understanding of how they impact company culture and the team they lead. This awareness then empowers them to make changes to their own behaviour and decisions that mainstreams DEIB into their day-to-day work experience.

Additionally, by working we leader and people in positions of power, there is the opportunity to develop a mindset that ensures DEIB considerations during decision-making processes that can influence policies and systemic processes. Changing the way we think changes the way we act. Finally, when a leader undertakes DEIB coaching, it sends a clear message to the organisation on both the importance of DEIB and their commitment to developing company culture.
